Arrels de Retrassia is the new ratafia made in western lands that was launched in 2020. Its creators, Laia and Víctor, want to preserve this ancient recipe from the town of L'Albi and give continuity to the local "ratafia" tradition.
They made it in the workshop of the Cooperativa Tres Cadires in Arbeca. The maceration is a joint process of walnuts with the rest of the ingredients; the aromatic plants are home-grown, and the base is wine alcohol. It is worth noting that it does not contain aniseed ingredients and has a sugar content of only 188 g/l.
A totally artisanal ratafia, truly rooted in its characteristic dryland landscape.
